At the laundromat

A new washer was installed at the house
It didn’t spin
Didn’t want to fight
Or figure out how to make it

I optioned out at the laundromat
Imagining I’m on the move
On a 6 week backpack tour

Taking a break, to wash up
Spirit and dirty clothes
Before I head on my journey again

A way to recoup energy
Detach from the house, an old story
For fresh dynamics

This morning
I’m at the laundromat
Writing poetry
Talking halt
